Experienced owners of businesses learn over a period of time the clear difference between sales and marketing.  Simply put, Sales is the process of presenting your product or service to a prospect and asking him or her to make a purchase.  Marketing is entirely different.  It is the process of presenting yourself, your service, or products to the world in a way that explains who you are, what you do, and how you benefit the world.

That means it's more important than ever to be found where customers are looking.  

So where do you begin?  Two sources that Gurry & Rogers has found to be helpful are Manta.com and Hubspot.com.  Each one of them has good tips that can take a mobile marketing rookie and put them on a course toward effective, strategic marketing.
